New level, same dominance.

Karson Milbrandt continued his breakout 2026 campaign with six scoreless innings in his Triple-A debut against Nashville on Saturday in Jacksonville. He allowed just two hits -- both singles -- with three walks and one strikeout, facing just two batters over the minimum thanks to three double plays. Milbrandt maxed out at 96.5 mph with his four-seamer and sprinkled in his slider, sweeper and curveball throughout a 77-pitch outing.

Thanks to this latest gem, Milbrandt skyrocketed in MLB Pipeline's prospect rankings from the Marlins' No. 9 to No. 5 prospect. And with Guardians second baseman Travis Bazzana's graduation from prospect status on Sunday, Milbrandt entered MLB Pipeline's Top 100 list at No. 100.

The Marlins promoted the 22-year-old right-hander to Triple-A on Tuesday after he led the Southern League in multiple categories, including ERA (1.34), WHIP (1.00), average against (.182) and strikeouts (70) in nine starts for Double-A Pensacola. During a five-start stretch from May 2-May 30, he did not give up a run across 27 consecutive frames to garner Southern League Pitcher of the Month honors.

Milbrandt's ascent traces back to 2025, when he compiled a 3.26 ERA in his third season at High-A Beloit. He closed out his campaign with two strong starts at Pensacola before being named a Fall Star in the Arizona Fall League and starting the Marlins' Spring Breakout in March.

Since fellow Top 100 prospects Thomas White (left shoulder) and Robby Snelling (UCL surgery) are sidelined by injuries, Milbrandt could reach the Majors by the end of 2026 if he keeps pitching like he has.

Milbrandt joins White (No. 12), Snelling (No. 25), Double-A shortstop Aiva Arquette (No. 32) and catcher Joe Mack (No. 41) as Marlins farmhands on the Top 100 list.
