For the fourth time this season -- all in the past two months -- Andrew Fischer has landed on the Prospect Team of the Week.
Perhaps that shouldn't be a surprise, considering the 2025 first-rounder leads the Minors with 42 home runs. Still, it's another feather in his cap as he joins Kade Anderson, Owen Ayers and Sean Keys for that distinction.
Fischer does not currently rank on the Top 100 Prospects list alongside Anderson and Ayers -- Jonathan Mayo explains why in his latest Inbox -- but questions about his profile at the next level don't take away from how impressive his campaign has been.
To be eligible for the Pipeline Prospect Team of the Week, Minor League players must be ranked among their club's Top 30 prospects on Pipeline's lists. (Those in the Majors do not qualify.)

C: Jason Schiavone, Corpus Christi Hooks (Double-A)
Astros No. 6

The 2024 11th-rounder is in the midst of quite a breakout season, and this was perhaps his best week yet. Schiavone started out the series with a pair of two-homer games and went deep again on Saturday, making him the first Astros Minor Leaguer to reach the 30-roundtripper threshold in the past three years. Of course, that power has come with plenty of whiffs, as his strike rate rose to 31.7 percent on the season (32.2 percent at Double-A) after 11 more K's last series.
1B: Andrew Fischer, Biloxi Shuckers (Double-A)
Brewers No. 5
.375/.450/1.125, 5 G, 6-for-16, 4 HR, 8 RBI, 6 R, 3 BB, 7 K
Fischer became the first Minor Leaguer this year to sock 40 homers -- and put an exclamation point on that feat by homering two more times in that very game. The 2025 20th overall pick ranks third among qualified Minor Leaguers in full-season ball with a 1.037 OPS despite striking out 172 times (fifth-most). The left-handed slugger started the season playing exclusively third base and DH but has shifted to first -- where he played his junior season at Tennessee -- upon Top 100 prospect Luis Peña's promotion to Biloxi.
2B: Devin Fitz-Gerald, Harrisburg Senators (Double-A)
Nationals No. 5
.375/.444/.625, 6 G, 9-for-24, 1 HR, 3 2B, 7 RBI, 4 R, 3 BB, 7 K, 1 CS
After a red-hot start to the season at High-A, Fitz-Gerald took a while to find his footing at Double-A. The 22-year-old was hitting just .179/.248/.225 with 45 K's and one homer in his first two months at the new level and -- adding injury to insult -- got hit in the face by an errant pitch. After taking several days off, the 2024 fifth-rounder returned hitting like he had to begin the year, with 22 hits in 60 at-bats with three homers. Fitz-Gerald hit his lone homer of the week off southpaw and Top 100 prospect Joseph Dzierwa, which is especially notable since the switch-hitter has been far better batting lefty (.844 OPS) than righty (.585 OPS) this season.
3B: Carson DeMartini, Reading Fightin Phils (Double-A)
Phillies No. 24

DeMartini has been one of the more intriguing power hitters in the Phillies system since he went in the fourth round of the 2024 Draft. He was off to a strong start at Double-A (1.037 OPS in 24 games) after scuffling in his first taste of the Eastern League last year (.579 OPS in 66 games) before suffering a sprained left wrist. After missing nearly two months, he's back to slugging, with a .304/.473/.589 slash line this month and an active seven-game hitting streak in which six of 10 knocks have gone for extra bases. The 23-year-old previously made a Prospect Team of the Week in June 2025.
SS: Cristofer Torin, Amarillo Sod Poodles (Double-A)
D-backs No. 17
.370/.433/1.174, 6 G, 10-for-27, 3 HR, 1 2B, 7 RBI, 9 R, 3 BB, 4 K, 1 SB
Torin has been on a torrid pace in August; his 36 hits tied for fifth in the Minors. The 21-year-old has been especially hot lately, with multiple knocks in seven of his past nine games and three homers in a four-game stretch. The Venezuela native continues to stand out for his hit tool, and he has one of the 20 lowest strikeout rates (11.3 percent) among qualified full-season hitters thanks in part to an impressive in-zone contact rate (89 percent). Torin has also made a Prospect Team of the Week in April 2024 and May 2026.
OF: Tai Peete, Springfield Cardinals (Double-A)
Cardinals No. 17

Scouts viewed Peete as a high-ceiling, power-speed prep player in the 2023 Draft when the Mariners signed him for $2.5 million as the 30th overall selection. Three years -- and one trade -- into his pro career, he's starting to translate his tools into real production. After slashing .300/.370/.661 at High-A Peoria, the Georgia native earned a promotion to Double-A and has been hitting .325/.372/.513 in 18 games at the new level. The left-handed hitter picked up multiple hits in every game last week and delivered the third multihomer game of his past 24 contests to boot.
OF: Josiah Ragsdale, Springfield Cardinals (Double-A)

Ragsdale is one of seven Minor Leaguers to post a 20-30 campaign this season, and he's continued to show off his well-balanced profile since the Cardinals acquired him at the Trade Deadline as part of the Dustin May-JoJo Romero trade. The 2025 seventh-rounderis hitting .260/.372/.494 in 20 games with his new org and has a .990 OPS on the season. Although he's more known for his 70-grade speed -- he has 34 steals in 37 attempts this season -- he's elevating the ball more this season and added two more roundtrippers last week.
OF: Edward Florentino, Greensboro Grasshoppers (High-A)
Pirates No. 2/MLB No. 35

Florentino's power has come in bunches this season, and he's on another power streak lately at High-A. With two more homers last week, he's gone deep five times in 11 games and has picked up extra bases on nine of his 13 knocks during that stretch. The center fielder has not been able to use his plus speed as much as previous years after suffering a left ankle injury during Spring Training, but he's one of the top teenage prospects in the game with rare plate discipline for his age.
LHP: Rafe Schlesinger, Akron RubberDucks (Double-A)
Guardians No. 28
1-0, 0.93 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 9 2/3 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 12 K, 0.93 WHIP
The 2024 fourth-rounder is pitching at Double-A for the first time in his career and has been looking a lot sharper lately. Schlesinger got hit around in his first six outings at the level (23 runs in 23 2/3 innings) but has given up one or no earned runs in six of his eight starts since -- including two last week. Facing the Yankees' affiliate twice, picked up 12 strikeouts and 18 swings-and-misses over 9 2/3 innings with just two walks issued.
RHP: David Sandlin, Charlotte Knights (Triple-A)
White Sox No. 11
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 9 K, 0.43 WHIP
A five-outing stint in the Majors and several shorter outings officially keep Sandlin off the Triple-A leaderboard, but he ranks third in the level in ERA (2.28) among pitchers with at least 50 innings. The 6-foot-4 righty has given up one or no runs in four of his past five starts and just delivered his best outing of the year: nine strikeouts over seven scoreless innings. Command has been the big question for the 2022 11th-rounder, so it's heartening to see him issue just one free pass in that start after walking 33 across 56 2/3 innings heading into the outing.
RP: L.P. Langevin, Quad Cities River Bandits (High-A)
Royals No. 30
0-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 G, 4 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 10 K, 0.50 WHIP
Nobody is striking out hitters like Langevin this season. After punching out 10 of the 14 batters he faced last series, the 2024 fourth-rounder is up to a 45.1 percent K rate on the season, which is tops in the Minors among pitchers with at least 50 innings pitched. Yes, he is walking batters at a 16.7 percent clip, but the Quebec native can more than make up for that with the monster shape on his 70-grade fastball. Langevin has also made a Prospect Team of the Week in July 2025.
