The 2026 World Baseball Classic took place in San Juan, Houston, Tokyo and Miami, March 5-17, 2026. This was the second World Baseball Classic with a 20-team field, so just like in 2023, there were four pools of five teams. The top two teams in each pool advanced to the quarterfinals in Houston and Miami on March 13 and 14. The semifinals and finals were held in Miami on March 15-17.

The third annual Spring Breakout was played from March 19-22, showcasing baseball’s future stars as clubs assembled their top prospects to play in exhibition games against one another. The event spanned four days and 16 games with exciting prospects facing off in Grapefruit and Cactus League ballparks.

MLB World Tour: Mexico City returned in 2026, featuring two games between the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, at Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú Béisbol in Mexico City.

The third edition of the East-West Classic, a tribute to the Negro Leagues All-Star Games held from 1933-1962, was held on Friday, June 19, at historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama.

Student-athletes from Division-I programs at Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) met up in Philadelphia for the HBCU Swingman Classic presented by USA Baseball on July 10. This philanthropic & educational All-Star Week event took place at Citizens Bank Park, the home of the Philadelphia Phillies.

MLB’s marquee fan festival, Capital One All-Star Village, welcomed fans from around the world to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for four days from Saturday, July 11 - Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Fans made their way to the Pennsylvania Convention Center for a baseball experience unlike any other.

Baseball's brightest stars shined on July 14 at the 2026 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA. The American League came away victorious over the National League, 4-0, with Cody Bellinger being named MVP.

On August 13, 2026, Major League Baseball returned to the iconic Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville, Iowa, for the first time in four years, featuring the Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies. Fans around the world watched the special event live on Netflix.
