PHOENIX -- It was a World Series moment for the ages in 2001 when Luis Gonzalez’s soft liner to left-center fell onto the outfield grass to bring home the winning run in the D-backs' thrilling Game 7 walk-off win over the Yankees.

Now fans can get to relive the key moments from that Game 7 via a drone with help from AirVūz and professional drone racing pilot Chris “Phluxy” Spangler.

What better way to re-create the iconic moment than have the World Series hero himself, Gonzalez, narrate the video?

A look at World Series Game 7s

You can hear in Gonzalez’s own words what he was thinking on that Nov. 4 night when he stepped to the plate with one out and the bases loaded in the decisive ninth facing arguably the best closer ever, Mariano Rivera.

While fans have no doubt seen numerous replays from the game, thanks to the state-of-the-art technology, they will be able to actually fly along the path of the ball at each of the key moments of that game.

“It gives fans a different kind of perspective on everything,” Gonzalez said. “I’ve obviously seen the replay a thousand times, but this is a completely different look. It just goes to show you how technology is evolving. This is just the start of something new for baseball and it’s cool to be a part of it.”
