SAN FRANCISCO -- Giants starter Madison Bumgarner added to his long list of accomplishments by recording his 1,500th career strikeout in Wednesday night's 1-0 walk-off win over the Colorado Rockies at AT&T Park.
Bumgarner retired Rockies leadoff batter DJ LeMahieu on a called third strike to reach his latest milestone en route to a seven-inning, two-hit no-decision.
The four-time All-Star and 2014 postseason hero became the fourth-fastest left-hander to reach the 1,500 mark, doing so in his 239th game. Ahead of him are Hall of Famer Randy Johnson (206 games), Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw (218) and Boston's David Price (236).
