Jonny Farmelo and Felnin Celesten as a duo are as dialed in as any hitters in June.

Ranked just one spot apart among the top prospects in the Mariners' system, Farmelo -- No. 6 -- and Celesten -- No. 7 -- took inspiration from one another and homered in the same game for High-A Everett for the second time this season. The AquaSox took the momentum from the long balls to an 11-1 win over Vancouver at Nat Bailey Stadium on Friday.

Farmelo, MLB’s No. 71 prospect, went first in the sixth, launching a pitch from right-hander Jack Nedrow (Blue Jays) to straightaway center field for a solo homer. Celesten, who recently rejoined MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects list at the No. 98 spot, followed two frames later when he pulled a solo blast of his own to right field off righty Jack Eshleman. The duo also homered in the same game back on April 10 in a 14-5 win over Tri-City.

Farmelo added a two-run triple in the ninth that stretched the Everett lead to double digits. The 21-year-old is scorching-hot to start June with a 1.379 OPS. His four homers in 10 games this month are tied for the Northwest League lead.

Following in his teammates footsteps, Celesten also sports an impressive start to June with a .306 average to pair with an .875 OPS. His .890 OPS for the season ranks second in the Northwest League. Celesten’s bat hasn’t slowed down all year, including a 25-game hit streak that ran for a month.

Both players joined Seattle’s system in 2023. Celesten signed as an international free agent in January before the Mariners made Farmelo the No. 29 Draft selection that summer. Three years later, they make up two of the club's seven representatives within the overall Top 100 list, tied with the Dodgers for the most in the sport.
