It’s the most wonderful time of the year: baseball season!

Here’s a quick guide to Marlins Spring Training.

When is the first workout for pitchers and catchers?
Feb. 11

What is the date of the first full-squad workout?
Feb. 16

Where is the team’s facility?
The club’s Spring Training facility is the Marlins Jupiter Academy at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, located about 83 miles north of loanDepot park in Jupiter, Fla. Following a major renovation this offseason, the academy will have a different look this year, highlighted by upgrades to the clubhouse, coaches’ room and video room and inclusive of a new stand-alone training facility for the players’ strength and conditioning, training and recovery needs.

Who are some new faces fans should know?
Late-inning reliever Pete Fairbanks, first baseman Christopher Morel, outfielders Owen Caissie and Esteury Ruiz and right-hander Bradley Blalock are all names to know.

Fairbanks, whom the Marlins signed to a franchise record deal, will likely receive the bulk of closing opportunities. Miami hopes for a return to form for Morel, who is transitioning to first base. Caissie, acquired in the Edward Cabrera trade, could win the starting right-field job. Ruiz has the makings of a fourth outfielder, while Blalock provides starting depth.

Who are some of the top prospects invited to Major League camp?
Left-handers Thomas White (No. 17 overall prospect according to MLB Pipeline) and Robby Snelling (No. 39), outfielder Caissie (No. 42) and catcher Joe Mack (No. 62) will be at camp.

Since White and Snelling are non-roster invitees, they have an outside shot at making the Opening Day rotation. Both finished the 2025 season winning the Triple-A National Championship with Jacksonville. Snelling, who is the organization’s reigning Minor League Pitcher of the Year, is slightly ahead of White in his development.

Since the Marlins would like to see whether Agustín Ramírez has improved behind the dish before moving on, it is unlikely Mack makes the Opening Day roster. Miami would want Mack to play every day rather than serve as the backup catcher, a role that Liam Hicks filled this past season. Added to the 40-man roster this winter, Mack posted a .779 OPS in 99 games for Triple-A in 2025.

When is the team’s first Grapefruit League game?
The Marlins' first Spring Training game is Feb. 21 against the Mets in Port St. Lucie, Fla. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. ET.

What are a few other notable spring games?
Feb. 22 vs. Nationals: First home game at 1:10 p.m. at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium

Feb. 24 vs. Phillies: Former Marlins manager Don Mattingly, who is now Philadelphia’s bench coach, visits at 1:10 p.m.

March 3 vs. Team Israel: World Baseball Classic exhibition at 1:10 p.m.

March 16 vs. Blue Jays: American League champions visit at 1:10 p.m.

What is Spring Breakout and when is the game?
Spring Breakout returns for a third year to showcase the future of baseball with games between the best prospects in each farm system.

Marlins and Astros prospects will square off at 12:05 p.m. on March 19 at the CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Fla. There will not be a Spring Training game as part of a doubleheader afterwards.

Will the team’s games be televised?
The Marlins announced on Monday that their games will be produced and distributed by MLB in 2026 with the launch of Marlins.TV. The club’s Spring Training radio broadcast schedule is traditionally announced the week leading into the start of Grapefruit League games.

When is the club’s last Spring Training game?
The Marlins' last Spring Training game is March 22 against the Mets in Jupiter. First pitch is at 1:10 p.m.

Will there be any additional exhibitions before the regular season?
No.

What are the details for Opening Day?
For the first time since 2016 (aside from the COVID-shortened 2020 season), the Marlins will open with a night game, hosting the Rockies at 7:10 p.m. on March 27 at loanDepot park. Ace Sandy Alcantara is expected to make his franchise-leading sixth Opening Day start. The first 25,000 fans will receive a Kyle Stowers bobblehead presented by ADT, and there will be a fireworks show following the game.
