Mets recall Verrett, option Montero to Triple-A

The New York Mets recalled right-hander Logan Verrett from Triple-A Las Vegas and optioned right-hander Rafael Montero to Double-A Binghamton in a corresponding move, the team announced Tuesday.
Verrett, 26, is 3-8 with a 5.36 ERA in 30 games (12 starts) for the Mets in 2016. He went 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA in two starts for the 51s.
Montero, 25, has a 3.68 ERA in three games (one start) for the Mets. He is 8-8 with a 5.15 ERA in 24 starts in the Minors this season.
