SEATTLE -- Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas learned his pairing for Monday's T-Mobile Home Run Derby , as it was announced Wednesday that Moustakas is seeded fourth and will face No. 5-seeded Miguel Sanó of the Twins in the first round.
"They're both very strong guys, and elite home run hitters, in my mind," manager Ned Yost said. "It'll be a great competition."

If Moustakas advances, he'll face the winner of No. 1-seeded Giancarlo Stanton of the Marlins and No. 8-seeded Gary Sánchez of the Yankees. The Dodgers' Cody Bellinger, the Yankees' Aaron Judge, the Marlins' Justin Bour and the Rockies' Charlie Blackmon round out the field for the Derby (7 p.m. CT Monday, ESPN).
"He's a phenomenal hitter," Moustakas said of Sano. "Hopefully all of us go out there and put on a show for everybody, and it's a good show and everybody enjoys the All-Star Game."
