Betts day to day with right hamstring tightness

BOSTON -- Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts, who is off to a fantastic start to the season, left Saturday's 12-6 loss to the Rays in the top of the fifth inning with right hamstring tightness.
Betts was hit by a pitch in the first inning and later came around to score, then he doubled and scored in the fourth to tie the game at 4.
"Rounding the bases early in the game, just tight, and obviously we're going to take care of him," said Red Sox manager Alex Cora. "We're not going to take any chances. He's day to day. We'll see how he shows up tomorrow and go from there."
Betts is slashing .344/.439/.733 with eight homers and 18 RBIs.
The Red Sox did some realigning when Betts came out. Andrew Benintendi moved from left to center, Jackie Bradley Jr. went from center to right and Blake Swihart replaced Betts in the leadoff spot and went to left field.
In the sixth, shortstop Xander Bogaerts winced after trying to make a diving catch on a short bloop by Adeiny Hechavarría. Bogaerts shook it off and stayed in the game.
"He just felt it when he landed," said Cora. "Nothing serious."
