Mariners, O's rained out, to play DH Tuesday
The Mariners’ four-game series opener against the Orioles on Monday in Baltimore was postponed due to inclement weather, and they’ll play a doubleheader on Tuesday at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
The first game will begin at 1:05 p.m. PT, and the second will begin 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first, but no earlier than 4:05 p.m. PT.
Justus Sheffield, who was initially slated to pitch on Monday, will start Game 1 and Nick Margevicius, who was on turn to start Tuesday, will start Game 2. With the 2021 rules package, both games will be seven innings. All the action will be televised by ROOT Sports Northwest and broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle and the Mariners Radio Network. Fans can also stream both games live on MLB.TV.
This is the first Mariners postponement since Sept. 15, 2020, when Seattle’s series against the Giants at T-Mobile Park was postponed and rescheduled due to poor air quality from the Pacific Northwest wildfires. Seattle had not been rained out in Baltimore since Apr. 26, 2004.
