Marlins claim righty Bido off waivers from Rays

The Marlins added a right-hander to their bullpen depth on Friday after claiming Osvaldo Bido off waivers from the Rays.
Bido, 30, has three seasons of Major League experience. Last year, he was 2-5 with a 5.87 ERA in 79 2/3 innings across 26 appearances, including 10 starts. At the Minor League level, Bido went 2-0 and recorded a 5.71 ERA in 17 1/3 frames with Triple-A Las Vegas.
Bido has pitched in a total of 58 games (28 starts) with the Pirates and Athletics since 2023. He has a career 9-13 record with a 5.07 ERA.
Bido originally signed with Pittsburgh as an international free agent in 2017.
With the addition of Bido, the Marlins' roster stands at 40.
