ARLINGTON -- Second baseman Rougned Odor turned a terrific double play during a 4-3 loss to the Mariners on Monday night at Globe Life Park.
With no outs and the bases loaded in the sixth, Dee Gordon hit a ball back up the middle to Odor, who stepped on second base to retire Guillermo Heredia, then fired a throw to Jurickson Profar to get Gordon at first.
The double play helped end a rally for the Mariners, who scored two runs in the inning after their first four batters reached base. Jean Segura followed Gordon with a flyout to center.
