The Reds have invited Ben Rowen to Major League Spring Training camp, the team announced Monday, after signing the right-hander to a Minor League deal.
Rowen will wear No. 44 with Cincinnati.
The 29-year-old has had two brief stints in the big leagues in his career, making eight relief appearances for the Rangers in 2014 and four for the Brewers in '16. He has a 6.94 ERA and nine strikeouts in his 11 2/3 innings in the Majors.
Before joining the Reds, Rowen was most recently with the Mets' organization. He spent the 2017 season with the Mets' Triple-A affiliate in Las Vegas, where he pitched 54 relief outings. Rowen had a 4.41 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 63 1/3 innings with Las Vegas.
