Trey Yesavage’s meteoric rise to the Majors has been well documented. But do fans remember his first professional pitch?

It wasn’t during his official pro debut on April 8 at Single-A. It was at Spring Breakout.

The 2025 first-rounder -- who became an integral piece of the Blue Jays’ run to the World Series -- first toed the rubber on March 15 of last year against the Twins’ brightest up-and-comers. He traversed two scoreless innings, punching out the side in the second frame.

So, which 2026 draftee will debut at this year’s edition of the prospect showcase? Which highly touted Minor Leaguer will steal the show with a monster homer or triple-digit velocity?

Fans will find out the candidates at 12 p.m. ET on Thursday, as the Spring Breakout roster reveal show airs on MLB Network as well as on MLB.com, MLB.TV and the MLB App.

Matt Vasgersian and Harold Reynolds will lead the breakdown of each club’s roster with MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis, Jonathan Mayo and Sam Dykstra providing prospect analysis. Top five prospects Konnor Griffin (MLB No. 1) and JJ Wetherholt (MLB No. 5) will also join the show.

While the 2027 MLB Spring Breakout will raise the stakes as a new single-elimination tournament format, this year will have a similar schedule to each of the first two iterations. Sixteen games will be played from March 19-22, 11 of which will be standalone games at Major League Spring Training stadiums. The remaining five contests will be played as single-admission doubleheaders with an MLB Spring Training game. The Brewers and Phillies will play two games apiece to account for the odd number of teams in Arizona and Florida.

All games will be streaming live and for free on MLB.TV, MLB.com and the MLB app.

Spring Breakout rosters are formed using MLB Pipeline's Top 30 Prospect lists as a foundation. Therefore, players who still have their rookie status for the 2026 season are eligible to be selected for their team's Spring Breakout roster.

A player retains his rookie status in Major League Baseball if he hasn't surpassed 130 at-bats, 50 innings pitched or 45 days on an active Major League roster during the regular season. Players who have some Major League playing time but still meet these criteria -- like the Orioles’ Samuel Basallo -- could play in Spring Breakout games.

Here's the complete Spring Breakout schedule for 2026 and where each game will be streaming:

Thursday, March 19

Friday, March 20

Saturday, March 21

Sunday, March 22
