Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation celebrates opening of Mansfield Miracle League Field

Community leaders, supporters and local families gathered at Fields at Station 63 on Thursday for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the Mansfield Miracle League Field presented by the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.

The new facility, which features a cushioned and rubberized playing surface designed to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility devices, creates an inclusive environment for children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities to enjoy baseball and softball.

The opening represents the latest chapter in the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation's longstanding support of Miracle League.

"The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation has proudly backed the Miracle League and its programming for more than 20 years," said Karin Morris, executive director of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. "This new facility is the latest way that the Rangers Foundation will develop and serve the next generation of children of all abilities."

Since 2005, the Foundation and its Texas Rangers Alumni Legacy Program have partnered with Miracle League organizations across North Texas, supporting athletes and families through volunteer efforts, special events and unique baseball experiences.

The Rangers Foundation contributed $25,000 toward construction of the new field, which features Texas Rangers branding throughout.

"This project reflects Mansfield's commitment to creating spaces where everyone can participate, connect, and thrive," said Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans. "The Mansfield Miracle League Field presented by the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will be a place where athletes of all abilities can build confidence, friendships and lifelong memories."

The new field brings expanded opportunities for adaptive sports programming to one of North Texas' fastest-growing communities. It also reinforces the Texas Rangers Foundation's commitment to ensuring athletes of all abilities can experience the lessons, relationships and joy that sports provide.
