Crew, Trevor Gott agree to deal (source)

The Brewers have agreed to terms on a one-year Major League split contract with free-agent right-handed reliever Trevor Gott, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. Milwaukee has not confirmed the deal.

Gott, 29, did not pitch in the Majors in 2021, but he was briefly on the Giants’ big league roster in April. San Francisco then sent Gott to its alternate training site and assigned him to Triple-A Sacramento before he elected free agency in October.

Gott, a Kentucky native, was a sixth-round Draft pick of the Padres in 2013, and he has a 5.01 ERA across 146 Major League appearances, all in relief. His most productive years have come with the Angels in ’15, when he posted a 3.02 ERA and 3.74 FIP across 48 appearances, and for the ’19 Giants, when he recorded a 4.44 ERA and 3.12 FIP in 50 appearances.
