For the first time since being a key piece of the trade that sent closer Jhoan Duran to the Phillies, Twins No. 3 and MLB Pipeline No. 58 prospect Eduardo Tait produced a multi-home run game.

Tait put his 60-grade power on full display Tuesday, blasting a first-inning pitch the opposite way to left-center field -- in a left-on-left matchup -- for his first long ball of the season. He followed it by pulling a seventh-inning shot to deep right field.

Tait, who finished the day 2-for-2 with a walk, accounted for all three runs for High-A Cedar Rapids in a 10-3 loss to Quad Cities. The catcher was also hit by a pitch.

This was the second two-homer game of the 19-year-old Tait’s career, joining a June 10, 2024, performance while he was still in the Philadelphia organization.

The massive pop in Tait’s bat took a short while to show this season, with the pair of homers also representing just his second and third extra-base hits in nine games. But he’s posted at least one hit in three straight games and in six total.
