After a bit of a slow start, MLB Pipeline’s No. 11 prospect put together his best outing of the 2026 season Sunday night.
Walker Jenkins, the Twins’ No. 1 prospect, went 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a pair of stolen bases in Triple-A St. Paul’s 11-8 loss to Toledo. It was his first outing with three hits and multiple stolen bases through 10 games this season. He recorded three hits in a game seven times in 2025 and stole at least two bases four times.
On Sunday, Jenkins drove a down-and-in sinker -- in a left-on-left matchup -- through the middle of the infield to score a run and go up 3-0 in the third inning. He came around to score on an Alan Roden double later in the inning.
Jenkins singled on a soft line drive and stole second base in the fifth, and in the seventh, roped a ground ball single at 111.1 mph and stole second. He finished his performance with an eighth-inning walk.
The former fifth-overall pick in 2023 has yet to heat all the way up at Triple-A after playing 23 games there with a .242/.324/.396 slash in 2025. Maybe Sunday’s big day can help Jenkins break through.
Meanwhile, St. Paul’s hot offensive showing, with three hits from Jenkins and four hits -- including three homers -- from Kyle Fedko, was spoiled by a seven-run ninth inning from Toledo. Cal Stevenson ended the wild comeback with a 409-foot walk-off grand slam.
