GLENDALE, Ariz. – Can the rebuilding White Sox take a significant step toward contention?
The organization hopes to answer this question during the 2026 season. Here are a few more inquiries considered a little easier to handle before on-field action begins.
When is the first workout for pitchers and catchers?
Tuesday, February 10. White Sox general manager Chris Getz meets the media on Monday, Feb. 9 at 3:30 p.m. MST (4:30 p.m. CT).
What is the date of the first full-squad workout?
Sunday, February 15.
Where is the team’s facility?
Camelback Ranch is located at 10710 W. Camelback Rd., Glendale, Ariz. It’s situated just minutes away from an In-N-Out Burger franchise.
Can fans attend workouts?
They can. There are stands located near most of the fields to watch the action, and Camelback Ranch set up some very basic guidelines on its X account.
Who are some new faces fans should know?
How much time do you all have?
It has been a busy and productive offseason for Getz, whose most significant addition would be first baseman Munetaka Murakami via a two-year, $34 million deal. The White Sox traded for right-handers Jordan Hicks and David Sandlin last Sunday, after acquiring free-agent reliever Seranthony Domínguez on a two-year, $20 million deal. They made official the free-agent addition of outfielder Austin Hays on Wednesday afternoon.

A six-year run with the White Sox for Luis Robert Jr. ended when he was traded to the Mets, bringing Luisangel Acuña to Chicago. Left-hander Anthony Kay figures to be part of the White Sox rotation, while left-hander Sean Newcomb will be stretched out as a starter, but could be a key component in the bullpen. Keep an eye on left-hander Chris Murphy and non-roster invites Jarred Kelenic in the outfield and Ryan Borucki out of the bullpen.
Who are some of the top prospects invited to Major League camp?
Outfielder Braden Montgomery, the No. 36 prospect overall per MLB Pipeline, leads the group from the non-roster invites. The switch-hitter will get a serious look during Spring Training, according to Getz, but the goal is to have Montgomery prepared for long-term success. Left-handers Noah Schultz (No. 49 overall) and Hagen Smith (No. 72) are entering key seasons, and keep an eye on infielder Sam Antonacci, who could help the White Sox during the ’26 campaign. Players such as Colson Montgomery, Kyle Teel, Edgar Quero and Chase Meidroth already have transferred from that highly touted prospect status to significant big league contributors.

They face the Dodgers, the two-time defending World Series champions, on February 26 and March 14, with the two teams sharing a Spring Training complex. The White Sox also play five night games.
What is Spring Breakout and when is the game?

An official announcement is expected early next week. But a handful of games are expected to be broadcast on CHSN from Arizona with a few more picked up via webcast.

It could be a big day for right-hander Shane Smith, who is the favorite to start Opening Day for the White Sox, with the game being played in Milwaukee. Smith was previously with the Brewers before being selected No. 1 overall in the ’24 Rule 5 Draft and becoming a White Sox All-Star in ’25. First pitch on March 26 is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. CT.
