Injury: Fifth metacarpal fracture in left hand
IL date: Aug. 7 (10-day)
Expected return: TBA
Status: Took a 99.7 mph fastball off of his left hand and was removed from the game against Boston on Aug. 6 with tests revealing a fracture. He will be out at least a month. (Last updated: Aug. 7) More >>
LHP Chris Murphy
Injury: Left flexor strain
IL date: Aug. 7 (15-day injured list)
Expected return: September
Status: Murphy pitched 2 1/3 innings over back-to-back days in Boston on Aug. 5-6 but was placed on the IL prior to the series opener against the Guardians on Aug. 7. (Last updated: Aug. 7)
RHP Drew Thorpe
Injury: Tommy John surgery
IL date: March 25 (transferred to 60-day IL on May 5)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Threw a scoreless first during his second injury rehab start and first for High-A Winston Salem on July 24 but allowed a three-run home run in his second and final inning. (Last updated: July 27)

Injury: High left ankle sprain

Expected return: Possibly second half
Status: Has been participating in long toss after having a setback in his rehab process. Timeline is uncertain at this point. (Last updated: July 4)
RHP Prelander Berroa
Injury: Rehab/recovery from Tommy John surgery
IL date: March 25 (transferred to 60-day IL on April 18)
Expected return: August
Status: Was scheduled to start throwing again in July after his first injury rehab outing with Rookie-level ACL White Sox on May 13 ended after four pitches out of the zone. Was returned from that rehab assignment due to right elbow inflammation. (Last updated: July 4)

Injury: Left shoulder dislocation
