Ramos has sore left wrist; X-rays are negative

WASHINGTON -- Phillies catcher Wilson Ramos said he does not expect to be placed on the 10-day disabled list because of a sore left wrist. He said he hopes to play as early as Friday in Toronto.
Ramos has not played since Sunday. He injured the wrist when he got crossed up on a pitch from Phillies right-hander Jake Arrieta on Saturday. He then said he felt soreness in the wrist during his final plate appearance Sunday night in Williamsport, Pa. Ramos got an MRI exam on Wednesday, and he said it went well.
"MRI was good. X-ray was negative," he said. "That made me feel good because the soreness I had was just pain from the ball hitting it that day. I had to take that easy and keep doing my exercises to get my wrist strong."
Ramos said he could play, if needed.
"I'm on the bench available for any situation that the manager needs me," he said. "I know he'll take care of me. I have to be ready."
Ramos has hit .412 (7-for-17) with four doubles, one triple, four RBIs and a 1.176 OPS in his first four games since joining the lineup last week.
Finding spots for Bour
First baseman Justin Bour took some early work in left field Wednesday, but do not expect him to see much action out there.
"It's a longer shot," manager Gabe Kapler said. "It's not something we'd rule out by any stretch. But it's a real good left-handed bat, and any way we can figure out ways to get him in the lineup in a double-switch situation, in a pinch-hit situation, a couple of at-bats late in the game, we're going to look for every day to do that."

Bour started at first base in Wednesday's 8-7 loss to the Nationals and went 2-for-5 with a homer off Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg. The homer was Bour's 20th and first as a Phillie. Bour had entered hitting .273 (6-for-22) with one home run, five RBIs, four walks and four strikeouts in his career against Strasburg. 
"We need to find ways to get him in the lineup because he is a real threat at the plate, and he provides a good at-bat for us," Kapler said. "It's tough because obviously we want Carlos Santana in the lineup every single day. But with Aaron Nola and Arrieta coming, we also need Santana on defense for us as well. So it's tricky. We have Bour and we have Roman Quinn and we have Scott Kingery, and one of the exercises we do is which is the best day to get those guys in the lineup? And today seemed like the best day to get Bour and Quinn in there."
Quinn started in center field, in part because Odúbel Herrera is just 3-for-20 with one walk and nine strikeouts in his career against Strasburg. Quinn finished 2-for-4 with an RBI.
