TORONTO -- The Rangers scratched outfielder Wyatt Langford from a 7-4 win on June 27 against the Blue Jays just minutes before first pitch with left hamstring tightness.

“It was literally right before the game,” Rangers manager Skip Schumaker said postgame. “Our trainer came in and let me know. I talked to Wyatt, but I didn't want to risk it. He said he could probably go. That's all I needed to hear, ‘probably.’ So I pulled him out, and he's getting looked at right now, so I haven't heard more yet.”

Langford recently returned from a separate IL stint, where he missed 39 games from April 22-June 4 with a right forearm strain.

Since returning from his last IL stint, Langford is hitting .317 (26-82) with seven home runs in 20 games. He has reached in 10 straight games and is batting .390 over his last 14 appearances to raise his season average from .214 to .278 with a season-high .824 OPS.

Langford has had five injured list stints in his two-plus MLB seasons. He dealt with a trio of oblique strains in 2025, along with a hamstring strain in his rookie season in ‘24.
