Rockies' Charlie Blackmon, Yankees' DJ LeMahieu named NL, AL Players of the Month for June
All-Star outfielder Charlie Blackmon of the Colorado Rockies has been voted the National League Player of the Month, and All-Star second baseman DJ LeMahieu of the New York Yankees has been named the American League Player of the Month. The announcements were made earlier today on MLB Network.
Blackmon earned his second career monthly award, previously wining for May 2017, and is the first Rockies player to claim the NL Player of the Month Award since his fellow All-Star teammate Nolan Arenado in July 2017. LeMahieu was awarded his first monthly honor and becomes the first Yankees second baseman to accomplish the feat since Robinson Canó in April 2010.

• Was named NL Player of the Week for the period ending June 16th. During a torrid stretch from June 10th-16th, became the fourth player since 1900 to log at least 20 hits and five homers over a seven-game span, joining Tim Salmon (1994), Bill Terry (1932) and Hall of Famer Al Simmons (1932).
• Tallied 15 hits during Colorado’s four-game series with the San Diego Padres (June 13th-16th), which represented the most-ever in a series of four-or-fewer games in the modern era.
• Recorded his 12th career multi-homer game on June 13th against the Padres, and his second of the season (also May 12th). Matched Johnny Damon for the fourth-most multi-homer games from the leadoff spot in Major League history.
• Became the third player in franchise history to bat at least .410 with an .835 slugging percentage-or-better and 10-or-more home runs in a single calendar month, joining Todd Helton (May 2000) and Larry Walker (March/April 1997).
