Philadelphia, PA – Earlier today, the 2026 All-Star Game managers, Dave Roberts of the National League and John Schneider of the American League, announced their starting lineups for Baseball’s 96th Midsummer Classic, to be played on Tuesday at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The lineups were announced at this afternoon’s 2026 All-Star Game Press Conference, which was carried live by MLB Network.
Roberts’ NL lineup will be:

Roberts has selected left-handed pitcher Cristopher Sánchez of the Philadelphia Phillies as the NL’s starting pitcher. The 29-year-old, who is an All-Star for the second time in his career (also 2024), is 11-4 with a 2.62 ERA and one shutout on the season. In 20 starts, Sánchez has allowed 37 earned runs on 126 hits with 25 walks and 144 strikeouts across 127.1 innings. Sánchez will become the 14th pitcher to start the Midsummer Classic in his home ballpark, and the first since Clayton Kershaw in 2022 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. A native of La Romana, Dominican Republic, Sánchez will become the sixth different pitcher from the D.R. to start the All-Star Game (seventh time overall), joining Hall of Famer Juan Marichal (1965, 1967); Mario Soto (1983); Hall of Famer Pedro Martínez (1999); Ubaldo Jiménez (2010); and Johnny Cueto (2016). In addition, Sánchez will be the seventh different Phillies pitcher to take the ball for an All-Star Game start (12th time overall), joining Hall of Famer Robin Roberts (1950-51, 1953-55); Curt Simmons (1952, 1957); Hall of Famer Steve Carlton (1979); Terry Mulholland (1993); Curt Schilling (1999); and Hall of Famer Roy Halladay (2011).
Schneider’s AL lineup will be:

Schneider has chosen right-hander Dylan Cease of the Toronto Blue Jays as the AL’s starting pitcher. Cease, an All-Star for the first time in his eight-year career, is 6-4 with a 2.56 ERA on the season. In 17 starts, the 30-year-old has allowed 28 earned runs on 67 hits with 44 walks and an AL-best 148 strikeouts across 98.1 innings pitched. The Georgia native will become the fourth different Blue Jays pitcher to make a Midsummer Classic start (fifth time overall), joining Dave Stieb (1983-84); David Wells (2000); and Hall of Famer Roy Halladay (2009). His 148 strikeouts are the most through a player’s first 17 starts as a Blue Jay in team history, ranking 18 strikeouts ahead of Roger Clemens (130 strikeouts through 17 starts in 1997). In his last start, Cease took a no-hitter into the ninth inning, becoming the ninth pitcher in franchise history to accomplish the feat.
