Bryzzo Souvenir Company expands operations in 2017
Last season, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo decided to go into business, the souvenir business, and the Bryzzo Souvenir Company was born.
Now, after a storybook year that included a league-best 103 regular season wins, MVP caliber seasons from both - with Bryant following up his 2015 NL Rookie of the Year award with the National League MVP honors in 2016 and an exhilarating World Series, an epic Game 7, the Chicago Cubs' first World Championship in 108 years - and of course, bringing fans the home runs balls they deserve - the entrepreneurs are thinking about only one thing in 2017 - expansion.
Growing the Bryzzo Souvenir Company means hard work, new employees and wider circulation of their product. Bryant and Rizzo have tapped teammates Javier Báez, Kyle Schwarber, Ben Zobrist and Addison Russell with widening distribution and developing new ideas for growth. They have also agreed to bring on former Cubs catcher David Ross as an intern as he looks to make a career transition after retiring last year.
Pearl Jam front man and Cubs super fan Eddie Vedder has been commissioned with penning the company's new jingle. An early supporter of the upstart company, Vedder was enthusiastic for the opportunity and hopeful his contributions can take the "Bryzzo" brand to the next level.
