D-backs 2020 credential information and media policies for Summer Camp and regular season
The Arizona Diamondbacks revised credential information and media policies for the 2020 Summer Camp and regular season is as follows:
- Previously distributed 2020 D-backs season credentials and BBWAA cards, including honorary Gold Cards, will not be valid at Chase Field.
- All media must apply for daily credentials at least 48 hours prior to the event (workout or game).
- Media availability for Summer Camp workouts and regular-season games at Chase Field will be disseminated via e-mail and @DbacksComm.
- Approved access will be granted to media whose presence is deemed essential for each event for home and visiting teams, up to a maximum of 35 media credentials, per Major League Baseball’s updated guidelines.
- Media able to gather interview video and audio without requiring on-site presence may not be granted access.
- Broadcast staff and crew must adhere to the credential and media policies, unless otherwise directed by D-backs Broadcasting and/or Communications.
- Allow extra time for entry due to the new entry procedures (detailed below).
- Please be patient as our staff works as efficiently as possible under the new guidelines. Unruly and disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and will result in a loss of access.
- Salt River Fields at Talking Stick will be closed to media for the duration of the 2020 Summer Camp and regular season.
- Media traveling to road games should apply with the home club and provide as much advance notice as possible (preferably 3-4 days in advance of the series).
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL 2020 CLUB/MEDIA REGULATIONS
- The Arizona Diamondbacks will adhere to Major League Baseball’s 2020 Club/Media Regulations.
Important notes specific to Chase Field:
- Media will park in the Chase Field garage on the 4th Floor or above and are encouraged to park apart from one another.
- All approved media will pick up their daily credential at Window 25, enter at the Team Shop Gate and be subject to credential, security, medical and temperature screenings upon entry.
- All interviews will be conducted via Zoom, conference call and/or phone call.
- Media outlets conducting live news shots are required to do so from the club’s designated, physically distanced area on the plaza.
- Photographers should contact Casey Wilcox (cwilcox@dbacks.com) for further direction on access, routes and shooting locations.
Daily Credential Application Information (NOW OPEN)
- MLB Credentialing website: https://credentials.mlb.com.
- Submitted by the Sports/Photo/News Editor or Director at least 48 hours prior to the event.
- Current headshot is required: JPEG, COLOR, 3’’x3’’, 300 DPI RESOLUTION.
- Reason for the request is required in the comments section.
- Credentials must be displayed and visible at all times and presented at the request of stadium personnel.
- Subject to approval by D-backs Communications based on team coverage and availability.
- Please note last-minute changes to credential requests may not be accommodated.
Approved media will receive a detailed message with parking, pick-up and in-stadium procedural information at least 24 hours prior to the event.
