The D-backs have hosted Go Gold Night for the past three seasons, and due to its success, earlier this month Major League Baseball launched a league-wide effort to raise childhood cancer awareness by dedicating a special "Childhood Cancer Awareness Day" at all MLB ballparks on Sept. 2. Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children aged 15 and under in the United States and every year, an estimated 250,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide.

Tickets are still available for Saturday's game and fans can purchase a special ticket package that includes a D-backs Go Gold T-shirt and a portion from the tickets sold will be donated to charities focusing on fighting childhood cancer. For more information visitdbacks.com/gogold.
