Legendary lineup of baseball & softball stars to appear at Play Ball Park in Cleveland this July

Major League Baseball today announced a lineup of legendary former Major League players, including the All-Star host Cleveland Indians, who will make appearances, sign autographs and pose for photos with fans at PLAY BALL PARK from July 5th-9th at the Huntington Convention Center. All-Star Ambassadors Francisco Lindor, Hall of Famer Jim Thome and Sandy Alomar Jr. are among the 30+ special guests making appearances at PLAY BALL PARK.

Fans have the opportunity to receive free autographs and participate in question-and-answer sessions and clinics led by former players inside the convention center, all included with the price of admission to PLAY BALL PARK’S indoor section. For a limited time, fans can purchase $10 tickets at AllStarGame.com with the code FFMM.

In addition to the All-Star ambassadors, PLAY BALL PARK will feature appearances by Hall of Famers such as Andre Dawson, Rollie Fingers, Fergie Jenkins, Tony LaRussa, Juan Marichal, Gaylord Perry and Tim Raines, Olympic Gold medalists Lisa Fernandez, Jennie Finch and Natasha Watley and other legends of the game. Additional legends and current All-Stars may be added in the coming months, while programming for the outdoor PLAY BALL diamond will be announced at a later date.

In addition to meeting the 30+ legends and Olympic Gold Medalists attending PLAY BALL PARK and the 50+ attractions sprawled across the downtown malls and throughout the convention center, fans can win exclusive prizes by using the All-Star Experience Pass every day they visit. The Experience Pass is a digital component that allows fans to track their journey through the many PLAY BALL PARK activities. By scanning a personalized QR code, fans can build interactive baseball cards that show their statistics from the games they participate in. Each time they scan their code, fans are also entered to win special prizes including tickets to the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard, tickets to the T-Mobile Home Run Derby, tickets to All-Star Sunday, autographed memorabilia, merchandise discounts and more!

PLAY BALL PARK at the Malls and Huntington Convention Center, which opens on Friday, July 5th and runs through Tuesday, July 9th, is the world’s largest and most playable baseball and softball festival with more than 50 indoor and outdoor attractions for fans of all ages. Indoor PLAY BALL PARK attractions are included in the price of admission, and the only additional costs are for concessions and memorabilia. Access to the outdoor sections of PLAY BALL PARK on the malls next to the convention center is free for everyone.

In the 25th anniversary season of Progressive Field, the 2019 Midsummer Classic will join the All-Star Games of 1935, 1954, 1963, 1981 and 1997 as those played in the city of Cleveland. The Indians will become the first franchise to host the All-Star Game on six occasions, while the city of Cleveland will be the third city overall, and first single-team city, to host Baseball’s summer showcase at least six times.

MLB All-Star Week includes the 90th MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard at Progressive Field (July 9th), Gatorade All-Star Workout Day featuring the T-Mobile Home Run Derby (July 8th), All-Star Sunday featuring the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game (July 7th), PLAY BALL PARK at the Malls and Huntington Convention Center (July 5th–9th), plus a lineup of additional events taking place throughout The Land.
