Mets celebrate release of 247v2 shoe with Busta Rhymes postgame performance

FLUSHING, N.Y. -- The New York Mets and New Balance today announced that American rapper and record producer Busta Rhymes will perform at Citi Field on Friday, June 22 after the Mets host the Los Angeles Dodgers at 7:10 p.m. to celebrate the release of the New Balance 247v2. The concert will also feature a performance from a surprise guest.
Busta Rhymes is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, record executive and actor. Rhymes, a native New Yorker, is known for his fashion style and intricate rhyming technique, which has earned him 11 Grammy Award nominations. He is widely regarded as one of the 50 greatest hip-hop lyricists of all time.
The performance celebrates the New Balance 247v2, an updated silhouette that is a nod to New Balance's heritage while further representing the intersection between where lifestyle and sport meet. With the 247v2, New Balance combines its legendary craftsmanship, technology, and fit into a versatile silhouette that empowers modern style seekers to live their on-the-go lifestyle.
The postgame performance will begin approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of the game from the roof of the visitors dugout on the third base side. Admission to the concert is included in the price of the game ticket.
