Mike Schwartz named Vice President - Strategy & Analytics
The Milwaukee Brewers have announced the promotion of Mike Schwartz to the position of Vice President - Strategy & Analytics.
In his new position, Schwartz will continue to oversee the strategy and analytics department, which provides strategic, quantitative and qualitative support to all functions within the Club's business operations.
"Mike has been a valuable member of this organization and his leadership within the strategy and analytics department has been instrumental in a wide range or revenue generating initiatives," said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger.
Schwartz, 36, is entering his ninth season overall with the Brewers. He returned to the front office as Director of Food & Beverage Hospitality in January 2016 and was promoted to Senior Director of Strategy & Analytics in August of last year. Schwartz previously spent six years in the baseball operations department (2004-09), most recently as coordinator of baseball research and special projects.
Prior to returning to the Brewers, Schwartz spent five years working in the consumer packaged goods industry, most recently as a brand manager, where he was responsible for the foodservice bulk condiments and sauces portfolio at Kraft Heinz Company. His additional experience includes working for Hillshire Brands Company. During his time at Kraft Heinz and Hillshire Brands, Mike helped manage the marketing, innovation and general business operations of iconic food brands such as Ball Park, Jimmy Dean, Velveeta and Jell-O.

A 2004 graduate of Indiana University, Schwartz earned a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, and Sport Marketing and Management. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree in 2011 from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Schwartz and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children, Matthew, Thea and Nathaniel.
