Atlanta Braves and Avocados From Peru Celebrate National Avocado Day with New AVO Braves Bar at Truist Park and Official Guacamole of the Atlanta Braves
ATLANTA (July 31, 2023) – The Atlanta Braves and Official Avocado and Superfood Avocados From Peru are celebrating National Avocado Day today with the opening of the AVO Braves Bar at Truist Park, a first-of-its-kind avocado eatery. The AVO Braves Bar will be located at Section 233 and will serve chips alongside the Official Guacamole of the Atlanta Braves made with Avocados from Peru, which will also be available at the Taco Factory at Section 231 in Truist Park.
The menu for the new AVO Braves Bar includes:
- Guacamole: Fresh tortilla chips topped with guacamole and pico de gallo for $12.49
- Guacamole with Chicken: Fresh tortilla chips topped with smoked chicken, guacamole and pico de gallo for $17.49
Avocados From Peru’s supply window is from June to October, making National Avocado Day the peak time to enjoy fresh avocados and avocado-based recipes, such as the Official Braves Guacamole Recipe.
Recipe for the Official Guacamole of the Atlanta Braves, with Avocados From Peru:
INGREDIENTS
3 Large Avocados from Peru, peeled and pit removed
1/2 Small yellow onion, diced small
2 Roma tomatoes, diced small
3 TBS Cilantro, cleaned and chopped
1 ea Jalapeno, seeded and diced small
1 Garlic clove, minced
2 Limes, juiced
1/2 Tsp Sea salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop them into a mixing bowl
- Mash the avocado with a fork and make it as chunky or smooth as you’d like
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir together. Give it a taste test and add a pinch more salt or lime juice if needed.
TIPS
- Look for large avocados for this recipe. If you can only find small avocados, feel free to add one more!
- Use fresh limes rather than bottled lime juice. The flavor difference is worth it.
