Chevron and Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation Open Applications for 2026 Community Grants Program

Arlington, Texas — Chevron and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation today announced that applications for the 2026 Chevron–Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation Community Grants Program are now being accepted, marking the third consecutive year of the initiative aimed at supporting organizations that serve children and youth across the Permian Basin region of Texas.

The program supports non-profit organizations, schools, and municipalities that provide impactful programming for children ages 18 and under, including initiatives centered on educational curriculum, afterschool programming, and youth sports. Since launching in 2024, the program has issued $100,000 in grants, helping expand access to youth-focused programming and resources throughout West Texas.

“The Chevron–Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation Community Grants Program allows us to meaningfully invest in organizations that are making a difference for youth across the Permian Basin,” said Karin Morris, Texas Rangers Senior Vice President, Community Impact & Executive Director of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. “As this partnership enters its third year, we remain committed to our mission to develop young people by supporting programs that help children grow and succeed in their respective communities.”

Through the 2026 iteration of the program, a total of $50,000 in grant funding will be awarded, with individual grants generally ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. All applications will be reviewed by the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation Board.

“Chevron is proud to partner with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation to support organizations that are helping young people thrive across the Permian Basin,” said Jonathan Harshman, public and government affairs advisor for Chevron. “By investing in local programs focused on education, after-school opportunities and youth sports, we’re working alongside our community partners to help strengthen West Texas communities and create lasting opportunities for the next generation.”

Grant funding is limited to organizations that support children in the Permian Basin, specifically within the following Texas counties: Andrews, Crane, Culberson, Ector, Glasscock, Howard, Loving, Martin, Midland, Pecos, Reagan, Reeves, Upton, Ward, and Winkler.
