D-backs among the inaugural teams in Anheuser-Busch’s “National Recycling League” to eliminate waste on gameday

The Arizona Diamondbacks are among the inaugural teams in Anheuser-Busch’s “National Recycling League,” a new, multi-sports league coalition aiming to reduce waste on game day. The D-backs, one of more than ten teams signed on as inaugural members, will participate in the head-to-head competition calling on MLB fans to recycle their bottles and cans.

From Opening Day through May 31, the city of the participating team with the highest recycling rate during home games will get a round of beer on Anheuser-Busch in celebration of their commitment to reducing waste on game day. More information is available at mycooler.com/recyclelikeachampion.

Tonight at Chase Field, in conjunction with the launch of the National Recycling League, the D-backs will deploy new Recycling Hawker volunteers to encourage fans to hand over their used cups, cans and bottles to be sorted from the trash and recycled properly.
