Edgar Martinez's Hall of Fame Plaque to be on display at T-Mobile Park on August 9 & 10
Fans will have the chance to see Edgar Martinez’s bronze Hall of Fame plaque at T-Mobile Park on Friday, August 9, and Saturday, August 10, during Edgar Martinez Hall of Fame Weekend.
Those who have tickets to the games against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday and Saturday will have the opportunity to see the plaque during the games. There is also a free public photo opportunity on Saturday, August 10, from 11:00am-2:00pm. Although the event is free, fans must register online for timed entry admission.
- The plaque will be located near the Seattle Mariners Team Store entrance on the Main Level near Section 142.
- Fans will be directed to the View Level (300 Level) to the queueing area along the Left Field ramp.
- In order to accommodate as many people as possible, fans will only be allowed to take one photo per group with the plaque.
- The line will be closed at some point during the game in order to accommodate everyone already in line by the end of the game.
Saturday Free Public Photo Opportunity
For fans who do not have tickets to the games, there is a free public photo opportunity on Saturday from 11:00am-2:00pm.
- Free admission, but group pass registration is required for timed entry. Register at Mariners.com/HOFPlaque.
- Due to time constraints, there is a limit of 100 groups per hour.
- Group sizes are limited to six people. Before arriving, please ensure you or a member of your group has registered for a group pass for this event.
- One photo per group is permitted.
- Check in at the Left Field Gates, located on Dave Niehaus Way S. (1st Avenue) and South Royal Brougham Way.
Tickets for Edgar Martinez Weekend Still Available
Tickets for the three games of Edgar Martinez Weekend are still available.
- Friday, August 9 – Edgar Martinez Hall of Fame Bobblehead Night. The first 40,000 fans will receive a bobblehead featuring Edgar holding his Hall of Fame plaque.
- Saturday, August 10 – The pregame ceremony in Edgar’s honor will start at 6:30 p.m. (7:10 p.m. first pitch). The first 40,000 fans will receive a replica of Edgar’s Hall of Fame plaque.
- Sunday, August 11 – 40,000 fans will receive Edgar Martinez Drive South replica street signs. (Signs will be distributed upon exit.)
Mariners players will wear Edgar Martinez Hall of Fame patches on their jerseys all three games. Official game balls and bases used during the games will carry official commemorative logos. Commemorative as well as game-used baseballs, bases and jerseys will be offered for auction at Mariners.com/Auctions.
Commemorative T-Shirt to benefit Seattle Children's
A limited edition T-shirt to commemorate Edgar’s induction to the Hall of Fame is available at Mariners Team Stores for $30 with $5 from each sale benefitting the Edgar Martinez Endowment for Muscular Dystrophy Research at Seattle Children’s. T-shirts are available while supplies last.
