The New York Yankees in partnership with Bronx Community School District 9 have announced that the 2026 Bronx Boroughwide STEM Expo and Science Fair will take place on Saturday, May 30 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Yankee Stadium.

This event, which includes approximately 1,000 students, who are attending as a reward for their academic achievement and participation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programs, is one of many initiatives enacted by the district to prepare its students for a rapidly evolving workforce. The children will be joined by hundreds of individuals supporting them, including teachers, administrators, family members and chaperones.

Additionally scheduled to attend are: Vanessa L. Gibson, Bronx Borough President; Kamar Samuels, NYC Public Schools Chancellor; Althea Stevens, District 16 NYC Council Representative; Harry Sherman, Superintendent of NYC Schools District 9; and Dr. Meisha Porter, Visiting Senior Fellow for the Center for Educational Innovation and former NYC Public Schools Chancellor, who will be providing opening remarks.

More than 100 science projects from Bronx students across all grade levels from Districts 7-12 will be on display on the Field Level concourse. Additionally, the Great Hall will be packed with STEM activities and demonstrations for guests to engage with.

Since the inception of the STEM Expo in 2021, STEM has flourished in the Bronx schools with student participation reaching record highs this year.
