Mariners join MLB for Vaccinate at the Plate

The Seattle Mariners are joining with teams across Major League Baseball to encourage people to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Beginning Monday, June 14, all fans who receive a COVID-19 vaccine at T-Mobile Park will receive a free pair of tickets to an upcoming Mariners game and a $20 Amazon gift card.

Vaccines have been available at Mariners games since May 4. Over three homestands, some 1,200 people have received vaccines at T-Mobile Park.

Seattle Fire Department EMS personnel will provide vaccines at Edgar’s Home Run Porch on the Main Level in left field. They will be assisted by Vaccine Ambassadors from Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, who will be on hand to answer questions and get fans prepared for intake.

Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson will be available for all eligible fans aged 12 and older. Those receiving their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna have only to show their vaccination card at registration.

Ticket vouchers will be redeemable for Mariners game beginning July 2.

Over the course of the pandemic, MLB ballparks have been utilized as mass vaccination sites, administering a total of more than 1 million shots. Since the start of last season, MLB and its Clubs have also provided over 1.5 million COVID-19 PCR tests for schools, youth academies, charities, and the general public at MLB ballparks and in communities throughout the United States.

Vaccinate At The Plate is part of a continuing effort by MLB, its Clubs and Players to provide assistance to those in need. Collectively, MLB, the Clubs and Players have donated more than $75 million, benefiting members of the baseball community, healthcare and frontline workers, families affected by cancer, people in need of food through Meals on Wheels and Feeding America, domestic violence prevention organizations, the citizens of the Dominican Republic and other important causes.
