Next Blue Jays homestand features 5 fun promotions & event days over 6 games
The Toronto Blue Jays return to Rogers Centre for a six-game homestand beginning on Monday, April 24 against American League opponents the Chicago White Sox (April 24 to 26) and Seattle Mariners (April 28 to 30). The team’s second homestand of the season is jam-packed, with a promotion or event on five out of the six games.
Below is a snapshot of what’s on at the ballpark next week:
Leading off is the Romano & Jansen Handshake Bobblehead Giveaway Night on Monday, April 24 (image here) capturing the battery’s fan-favourite post-save celebration (7:07 p.m. first pitch).
April 25 serves up a familiar Tuesday tradition – this season’s first Loonie Dogs Night presented by Schneiders (7:07 p.m. first pitch). As part of the festivities, the Greatest Eater of All-Time and World Hot Dog Eating Record Holder, Joey Chestnut, will throw the ceremonial first pitch and treat fans to a pregame photo opportunity at Schneiders Porch. Last season, Blue Jays fans consumed a staggering 444,854 Loonie Dogs over 13 games.
Wrapping up the White Sox series, Blue Jays fans will be treated to the season’s first weekday afternoon game (1:07 p.m. first pitch) – get out of the office or classroom early and enjoy the afternoon at the ballpark!
On Friday, April 28, the first 15,000 fans that enter the park receive a George Springer New Blue Replica Jersey (image here) – the first replica jersey giveaway of the season – as the Blue Jays take on the Mariners (7:07 p.m. first pitch).
Specialty tickets return on Saturday, April 29 with Blue Jays Sesame Street Day, where specialty ticket purchasers receive a Blue Jays Elmo Bobblehead (image here) and a photo opportunity with the beloved character (3:07 p.m. first pitch).
The team wraps up the month of April with Jays Opening Day on Sunday, April 30 (1:37 p.m. first pitch). Kids aged 14 and under can take part in games and activities by visiting the Jr. Jays Zones on the 100, 200, and 500 levels, including the brand-new Park Social in the Outfield District.
All home games feature special programming in the Outfield District, including live music and entertainment.
