Texas Rangers to host Cincinnati Reds in home opener at Globe Life Field on Friday, April 3 at 3:05 p.m.

Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers (4-2) will return to Arlington this weekend for the first homestand of the 2026 season, beginning with the club’s home opener against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday, April 3 at 3:05 p.m. Friday’s contest will mark the Rangers’ seventh opener at Globe Life Field and 55th overall since the franchise moved to Texas in 1972.

The parking lots at Globe Life Field are scheduled to open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning, with gates to the ballpark set to open three hours before first pitch at noon.

Tickets to Friday’s home opener and the five other games comprising the club’s first regular season homestand of 2026 are still available online at rangers.com/tickets, over the phone at 972-RANGERS, or in-person at Globe Life Field’s Southeast Box Office. Tickets to all games during this homestand, excluding the Friday home opener against the Reds, can be purchased without additional taxes or fees by using promo code ‘BASEBALLISBACK’ before checkout until 5:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 5.

Friday’s home opener is expected to feature a ceremonial first pitch thrown by Dallas Stars goaltender and USA Hockey Olympic gold-medalist, Jake Oettinger, as well as a National Anthem performance by country music star Neal McCoy. Additionally, the first 30,000 fans (21-and-older) in attendance of that afternoon’s game will receive a 2026 Rangers Magnetic Schedule presented by Anheuser-Busch.

On Saturday, the Rangers will host a ‘Leon Bridges Theme Night’ in celebration of the Grammy Award-winning recording artist and Fort Worth native. Fans who purchase tickets to Saturday’s game through rangers.com/themenights will receive a limited-edition Leon Bridges bobblehead, which depicts Bridges sporting a Rangers-branded cowboy hat.

All six games of the club’s first homestand of the season, including Friday’s home opener vs. Cincinnati, will air on Rangers Sports Network presented by Progressive (RSN).
