Washington Nationals announce roster moves

The Washington Nationals announced the following roster moves on Tuesday. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcements.

· Placed right-handed pitcher Will Harris (right hand inflammation) on the 10-day Injured List retroactive to March 29. Washington also placed catcher Alex Avila, first baseman Josh Bell, left-handed pitcher Patrick Corbin, catcher Yan Gomes, left-handed pitcher Brad Hand, infielder Josh Harrison, left-handed pitcher Jon Lester, infielder Jordy Mercer and left fielder Kyle Schwarber on the Injured List.

· Recalled catcher Tres Barrera, right-handed pitcher Sam Clay, infielder Luis García, right-handed pitcher Ryne Harper, outfielder Yadiel Hernandez, infielder Carter Kieboom and right-handed pitcher Kyle McGowin to the Major League roster.

· Selected the contract of catcher Jonathan Lucroy to the Major League roster.

· Selected outfielder Cody Wilson to the Major League roster as a Replacement Player.

· The Nationals’ 26-man roster is comprised of 13 pitchers, two catchers, six infielders, and five outfielders.
