Seattle Mariners 2017 Opening Day

The Seattle Mariners kickoff a season-long celebration of the franchise's 40th Anniversary, presented by Alaska Airlines, on Monday, April 10, Opening Day, as the Mariners take on the Houston Astros. Game time is 2:10 p.m.
Ruppert Jones, Harold Reynolds, Mark McLemore and Willie Bloomquist, whose careers with the Mariners covered each of the four decades of the franchise, will throw out ceremonial first pitches before the game. Catching the pitches will be four Mariners Hall of Famers: Alvin Davis, Edgar Martinez, Jamie Moyer and Dan Wilson.
Pre-Game Festivities
Seattle Mariners Opening Day, presented by your Local Ford Store, gets started at 11:40 a.m. when the gates of Safeco Field open to the general public with a special countdown at the Home Plate Gate with Rick Rizzs, Aaron Goldsmith and the Mariner Moose. All fans will receive a 2017 Mariners magnetic schedule, courtesy of Safeco Insurance. The pregame ceremony will start at approximately 1:30 p.m. It will be streamed live on Mariners.com and ROOT SPORTS will carry it as part of a live one-hour pregame program beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Fans are reminded to give themselves plenty of time to pass through bag check and walk-through metal detectors at security checkpoints at all gates of the ballpark.

Tuesday, April 11 is the 15th Annual Salute to Volunteers. The Mariners and Serve Washington pay tribute to the members of our community who are dedicated to service. It's also BECU Half-Price Night. Special prices are available with advanced purchase only (not offered on the day of the game) and start as low as $13 per ticket. Guests can also enjoy Happy Hour specials on food and beverages at all Rolling Roof concessions stands until first pitch.
Wednesday is Safeco Insurance Triple Play Ticket Night. Fans can get a ticket, hot dog, Pepsi brand soft drink or, new this season, the option for a 16 ounce domestic draft beer, for one low price. Prices start at just $26. The Triple Play offer is available with advanced purchase only (not offered on the day of the game).
Friday, April 14 (vs. Texas Rangers) is Ken Griffey Jr. Replica Statue Night. The first 45,000 fans will receive a miniature of the statue of the Baseball Hall of Famer that is to be installed outside Safeco Field. Friday is also the first King's Court of the season with Felix Hernandez scheduled to get the start against the Rangers. Specially priced tickets include a T-shirt and "K" card. Available online-only at Mariners.com/Felix. And it's College Night with specially priced tickets for college students (Mariners.com/College).
Saturday, April 15 is the 15th Annual Salute to Armed Forces Night. The Mariners and The Boeing Company pay tribute to the men and women serving our nation in the U.S. military. Specially priced tickets for military heroes and their families start at just $13. There will be a pregame ceremony honoring U.S. Armed Forces members, veterans and support organizations. The first 20,000 fans will receive a special Mariners cap, courtesy of Boeing. Those who buy tickets through the special online offer will receive a commemorative coin. Monday, April 17 (vs. Miami Marlins) is another BECU Half-Price Night and Tuesday, April 18 is Safeco Insurance Triple Play Ticket Night. Tuesday is also Salute to Japan Night. Main Level tickets are $35, with $5 from each ticket sold through the special online-only offer (Mariners.com/Japan) benefitting Japanese nonprofit organizations in the Seattle community.
The homestand concludes on Wednesday, April 19 with a day game against the Marlins (12:40 p.m. start). The first 20,000 fans will receive an Ichiro HITStory bobblehead commemorating Ichiro's remarkable offensive achievements with the Mariners and Marlins.
