White Sox Place Davidson on DL; Recall Carlos Sanchez

Prior to tonight's game at Houston, the Chicago White Sox placed third baseman Matt Davidson on the 15-day disabled list with a broken right foot and recalled infielder Carlos Sanchez from Class AAA Charlotte.
Davidson, 25, suffered the injury while running the bases following an RBI single during the fourth inning of yesterday's victory vs. Minnesota. He was recalled from Charlotte prior to the game and went 1-2 in his first major-league appearance since 2013.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Davidson hit .268 (76-284) with 20 doubles, 10 home runs, 46 RBI and 35 runs scored over 75 games with Charlotte this season and was named to the Triple-A All-Star Team. He was tied for the International League lead in doubles and ranked fifth in RBI at the time of his promotion.
Sanchez, who turned 24 on Wednesday, is batting .258 (55-213) with 11 doubles, two triples, six home runs, 24 RBI and 26 runs scored over 55 games with Charlotte this season. He was 8-21 (.381) with six runs scored over his last six games with the Knights.
Sanchez, a switch-hitter, also was with the White Sox from April 28-May 22, going 4-26 (.154) with one RBI and three runs scored over 11 games (four starts). He spent most of the 2015 season with Chicago, batting .225 (87-389) with 23 doubles, five homers, 31 RBI and 40 runs scored over 120 games.
