Was one of three players to spend the entire season on the AAA-Columbus roster, posting an 8-7 mark with a 4.15 ERA in 28 games/21GS...His 119 strikeouts were tied for third in the Guardians Minor League system and his 121.1 innings were fifth....Was tied for team lead in SO with Parker Messick (T-eighth in Int'l League)...Led team in wins, starts and innings...Yielded only 100 hits in 121.1 IP (.227 avg against) but walked 4.5/9 IP (61BB)...Fanned 8.8 batters per 9IP... Spent most of the season in AA Akron before spending the final five weeks at AAA Columbus in his first taste of the highest Minor League level...His combined 2.80 ERA was the third-lowest mark in the organization as he also fi nished4th in organizational strikeouts (151) and fifth in innings (career-high 141.1 IP)...Worked into the fifth inning in all but three starts for the season... At the time of his Aug. 5 promotion to Columbus, his 118 strikeouts at AA Akron led the Eastern League and his 2.87 ERA was second-lowest in the EL (sixth in IP at 106.2)...Fanned a career-high 11 batters on June 30 at Altoona (6.0IP)... Continued his ascent in Columbus, working into the fifth inning in all seven starts and yielding one run-or-fewer in six of the seven outings...Put a bow on the season in his final start, allowing one run in 4.1IP (2H) while fanning AAA-high nine Mudhens (at TOL)...
