JOHN COOPER INGLE…The Asheville, N.C. native spent three years at Clemson, finishing with a lifetime .329 (159-for-483) average, 112 runs scored, 29 doubles, 14 home runs, 81 RBI and 80 walks…As a junior, he posted a .328 average (84-for-256) with 60 runs scored, 16 doubles, six home runs, and 34 RBI while forcing 39 walks, earning third-team All-ACC honors...Lettered four times in baseball at A.C. Reynolds High School in Asheville...His father, Steve, played baseball at Montreat College (N.C.)...Majored in sports communication at Clemson.

2025

Was the consensus seventh-best prospect in the Cleveland system entering the 2025 season, split the year between AA-Akron and AAA-Columbus, earning Eastern League All-Star honors after the season...Was promoted to AAA on Aug. 11 after spending the first four months of the season in AA Akron...Combined on-base pct of .389 led the Guardians farm system (his 86 walks were 20 more than any other CLE MiLB player) and his 36 doubles were tied for first...Was fourth in OPS....At the time of his promotion to Columbus, he was leading the Eastern League in OBP, doubles (tied) and walks and was sixth in OPS and runs (tied)...Went 4-for-5 with two 2B, two HR, two RBI on July 3 at Erie...86 starts at catcher/33 starts at DH between the two levels...Had four on-base streaks of 10-or-more-games in 2025 (13 2X, 10 2X)... Batted .345 (29-for-84) in May w/20 RS, 13 2B, three HR, 17 RBI in 25 games (1.079 OPS).

Named Midwest League MVP at High-A Lake County after batting .313 (79-for-252) with 18 2B, 9 HR and 55 RBI in 68 games (.433/.500/.933)…Also earned High-A All Star honors from Baseball America…Led the Player Development system in on-base percentage (.419), while ranking fourth in batting average (.305), tied-fourth in doubles (24), fifth in RBI (67) and tied-fifth in hits (104)…Finished the year at AA Akron, hitting .281 (25-for-89) in 25 games for the RubberDucks following his Aug. 12 promotion…Ranked third in the Midwest League in OPS (.933) at the time of his promotion on 8/12 (min. 150AB)…Caught 639.2 innings across his 72 starts behind the plate, throwing out 26.7 percent of would-be base stealers (27 of 78)…Batted .332/.441/.546/.987 vs. RHP (33 XBH) and hit .215/.347/.253/.600 vs. lefties (3 XBH)…Hit a combined .336 (36-for-107) with RISP and .345 (57-for-165) with runners on base...Hit in 13 straight games at LC, May 17-June 6, and enjoyed two 14-game on-base streaks...Homered in three straight games at LC, July 4-9.

2023

After being drafted by Cleveland in the fourth round (125th overall) of the 2023 MLB Draft, he began his career at High-A Lake County later that season…Posted a .288 (15- for-52) batting average with five doubles, 10 RBI and an .849 OPS in 17 games for the Captains to close out the season.
