His 208 strikeouts marked the most by a left-handed starter in Marlins history, surpassing the previous record held by Al Leiter (200, 1996). Finished with 13 starts of eight plus strikeouts; ranked third among NL pitchers this season. Held a team season-high and career-high 26.1 scoreless innings streak from June 18 to July 9. Marked the third-most strikeouts by any Marlins starter in a single season, and the ninth 200-strikeout season in club history. Made 12 starts with the Marlins in 2021 after being acquired from Oakland at the trade deadline in exchange for OF Starling Marte...
