Happening on Oates and Beltré Fields, Nike Ambassadors will lead activities for 150 young athletes. At the end of the camp, they will select MVPs to receive prizes based on participation, sportsmanship and overall energy.

Registration for the Nike Ambassadors Black History Month Camp is at capacity.

National Girls & Women in Sports Day events at Rangers Youth Academy

Feb. 7 is National Girls & Women in Sports Day, an annual celebration to recognize the accomplishments and influence of female athletes and honor the progress and support for equality in sports.

The Texas Rangers Youth Academy will celebrate its young women in softball and baseball and the strong women leading these athletes as coaches and staff through a pair of exciting events.

The two-part celebration will begin with a PLAY BALL event for girls 6-12 years old. From 6:30 – 7:45 p.m., athletes will participate in a series of fun competitions and at the end of the camp they will receive a T–shirt and bat and ball kit.

Immediately following the PLAY BALL event, girls 13-18 years old will have the opportunity to hear from women in the Texas Rangers front office in a conversational panel from 7:45 – 8:30 p.m., where they will share their experiences working in the front office for a World Series Championship-winning organization.

Rangers employees participating in the panel include senior vice president and general counsel Erin Kearney, director of suites and premium services Delia Willms and Bryana Novegil, new business development representative, who will also speak on her experience as a college softball player at Stephen F. Austin University. Hannah Wing, manager of influencer marketing and digital & in-game host, will moderate the discussion.
