Rizzo hits long homer off video board at Wrigley

CHICAGO -- Anthony Rizzo didn't break anything, but he definitely made an impact on the video board in right field at Wrigley Field in the Cubs' dramatic 7-5 win on Wednesday.
Rizzo became the first left-handed hitter to homer off Phillies starter Aaron Nola on Wednesday night and the second Cubs player to have a home run hit the video board in right this season.
Rizzo led off the Chicago second with his ninth home run, launching a 92.4 mph fastball from Nola 415 feet to right, striking the video board. The ball had an exit velocity of 106.7 mph, per Statcast™, but didn't appear to break any of the lights.
It's the fifth time a player has homered off that video board. Fellow Cub Ian Happ did so this year on May 22.
This was Rizzo's second career homer off the right-field video board. He now ranks second on the team with 40 RBIs, and the Cubs join the Braves as the only National League teams withtwo players who have driven in that many runs. Javier Báez leads the NL with 46 RBIs.
