The 37,419 fans in attendance at Wrigley Field likely walked away exhilarated following Pete Crow-Armstrong’s walk-off single in the 7-6 come-from-behind win on Thursday evening.
One of those fans included Cubs legend Anthony Rizzo, who was both cheering on his former team and also participating in the “Tarps Off” craze that has swept the sport. Who’s to say if Rizzo’s presence in the ballpark helped spark a dramatic Cubs win that featured many twists and turns?
PCA’s game-winning hit was the Cubs’ seventh walk-off win of the season, the most by any team. Despite the many ups and downs the club has gone through, the Cubs have made the Wrigley Field experience quite memorable this year. Just ask Rizzo himself.
