Andrew Fischer has been ranked as one of the top third base prospects in the Minor Leagues and he continues to show with his bat that he has earned that ranking.

Fischer -- Milwaukee's No. 6 prospect and the No. 5 third base prospect overall -- went deep for the third straight game for High-A Wisconsin in its 5-2 rain-shortened loss to the Peoria Chiefs in seven innings at Neuroscience Group Field.

The 20th overall pick in the 2025 Draft didn't show as much power in his first pro season last year, as he hit one home run and had a .446 slugging percentage in 19 games with Wisconsin. However, Fischer's 60-grade power has been on display in his first full professional season.

Through Tuesday, Fischer had played in 38 games this season and gone deep 14 times, which leads the Midwest League. His slugging percentage has gone up more than 200 points compared to last season, and leads the league at .648. His OPS (1.042) is second only to the Dodgers’ Mike Sirota, who was recently promoted to Double-A. Fischer's 34 RBIs are also tied for fifth in the Midwest League.

While Tuesday's home run came off of righty Yhoiker Fajardo (St. Louis' No. 12 prospect), Fischer -- a left-handed hitter -- has shown that he can hit southpaws very well. In 38 at-bats against lefties, he is hitting .308 with a 1.132 OPS, including four of his 14 homers.

Milwaukee hopes that Fischer's power will translate to higher levels in the Minors -- and perhaps, even the Majors -- in the near future.
