PHOENIX -- The D-backs signed outfielder Grégor Blanco to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training on Thursday.
Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reported that Blanco will make a $1 million base salary if he is on the Major League roster.

The 33-year-old Blanco spent the past five seasons with the Giants, with whom he had a slash line of .259/.338/.360, while playing all three outfield positions.
Blanco would give the D-backs additional options as a backup outfielder, and his left-handed bat would be welcome. General manager Mike Hazen has said that finding additional left-handed hitting was one of the remaining items on his to-do list.
